attempts at drawing the figure

I'm taking a life drawing class at MassArt on Tuesday nights. I felt the Drew Art dept was lacking in the area of teaching human form, mostly the models would only come in for 3 weeks out of the semester, which, in my opinion, is not long enough to get a grasp on the basics of life drawing. So having grown tired of my lack of skill in this department of drawing, I registered for the class. My prof is 90 years old and is fantastic, and rather entertaining with his little anecdotes.
Anyway, here is a sample of what I've been working on the past few hours to practice. I'm having some trouble with the upperbody and some aspects of 3/4 view. but i think i have the lower body in proportion...mostly!
